The description by the creator Eric Hibelot :
Entirely manufactured and decorated by hand by me, the pieces I made are therefore unique and purely artisanal.
I work the porcelain with the plate, which means that I use a clay paste that I pass in a rolling mill to obtain plates of 2 to 5 mm thickness.
I then cut out different elements with which I build the pieces.
After a more or less long drying phase (depending on the size and thickness of the piece), I fire the pieces a first time at 980°, then a second time at 1280°.
The decorations that I imagine are often made in two steps: a first part on raw clay and a second part between the two firings, such as the glaze for example.
All small pieces are dishwasher safe. However, one must be more careful with larger vases. The fact that these types of pieces are thicker makes them very sensitive to thermal shock!
I check all the pieces when they come out of the kiln after the second firing to make sure that there are no defects or that the firings have not distorted them too much. Having said that, my work is above all a craft, entirely handmade, so it is never perfectly straight as can be an industrial work, that's what makes it alive!
