We had already put the kilometers in with Martin when we commissioned him to do a Portraits de Villes in Reykjavik. He had been working on studio projects with us for many years, with that special sense of poetry that we loved so much.
He had connections in Iceland and visited regularly to shoot fashion editorials with his friend Enart. These long trips in his adopted country gave a very intimate feel to our book on the outskirts of Reykjavik.
