Séverine seeks form, erases the superfluous and returns to what’s essential. Her pieces are handmade one by one, in small series in her workshop in Amiens. Hidden from view, she mixes traditional techniques of ceramics with the most modern to create her own universe. Resolutely inscribed in a clean and minimalist style, sometimes architectural, sometimes figurative or even mechanical, these pieces become singular entities between futuristic structures inspired by the past, contemporary totems or figures of the imaginary.
